For Diah, working at Discova has been an eye-opening experience. Being her first “Global” workplace, she cherishes the chance to interact with individuals from various backgrounds and perspectives. Diah has had the opportunity to embark on business trips that have further enriched her professional journey. Her first business travel experience took her to Kuala Lumpur for the Peopleworks Conference, where she joined other Asia Peopleworks Leaders for three days of collaboration and connection. What started as virtual meetings transformed into face-to-face interactions, allowing Diah to strengthen her bond with her team. From serious discussions and brainstorming sessions to engaging in super fun activities, such as exploring Batu Caves, indulging in culinary delights, and enjoying evenings by seeing the Twin Tower, Diah’s time in Kuala Lumpur was nothing short of memorable. The experience not only deepened her connection with her team but also provided her with a chance to meet the Discova Malaysia DMC team, further solidifying the sense of unity within the company.
Diah’s second business trip took her to Singapore, where she had the opportunity to work from the FCM-Discova office and visit her team. The vibrant city-state offered a unique experience for Diah, as she embraced the walking culture and efficient MRT system. Getting lost and finding her way back again filled her with a sense of accomplishment and adventure. Exploring the beautiful sights of Singapore, although the Merlion was unfortunately under renovation at the time, allowed Diah to immerse herself in the city’s rich culture. Additionally, she participated in a training session alongside HR professionals from various industries, broadening her network and knowledge.
Both of these business travel experiences initially evoked nervousness in Diah, but they ultimately proved to be wonderful and transformative. The opportunity to connect with colleagues, explore new destinations, and engage in professional development has left Diah eagerly anticipating her next adventure. As she continues to embrace the joys and challenges of business travel, Diah’s experiences serve as a testament to the personal and professional growth that can be achieved through these journeys.

Diah also had the opportunity to attend the FC Global Gathering in Bali. As a resident of the island, she was thrilled to support the team and immerse herself in the vibrant atmosphere. Diah thoroughly enjoyed the busy yet invigorating experience, as she collaborated with her colleagues to make the event a success.
