Day 5: Mossy Forest and Tea Plantation
Hop into our Land Rover and drive up to the highest mountain accessible by road in Southeast Asia. Walk with our nature guides into the Mossy Forest to see some of the most exotic plants around, like the pitcher plant, orchids, primitive ferns, spices and medicinal plants. A short drive down the mountain will bring you to the Sungei Palas ‘BOH’ Tea Factory. A factory tour will be conducted before you may appreciate the many varieties of tea offered at the tea shop. After checking out & lunch, take a van to Penang Island. The journey will take about 3 ½ hours.
Day 6: Penang Tour with Afternoon Tea
Explore George Town in the morning, where all sites are within walking distance – look out for the street art associated with George Town. Then, take a short funicular train up Penang Hill amid the centuries-old colonial bungalows for a spot of afternoon tea with fresh fruit and pastries. The last stop is The Habitat, the latest attraction on Penang Hill, a wildlife reserve with a canopy walk that is home to a wide variety of native plant and animal species.
